The best crabs we"ve had anywhere. We live in PA and make it a point to come here at least 3 times during the summer. Food is always very good, made to order, wait staff very friendly. We love this place!
Met friends from Jersey here.. His crab cake was the best ever. She tried soft shell crab for the first time and enjoyed it very much, as I did my crab imperial. We will be back. Also the staff was friendly and attentive. Great picturesque location.
First time at Sambos and we were extremely impressed! Service was excellent! The atmosphere was scenic and the staff was very friendly and courteous. My husband had the surf and turf. Steak was cooked perfectly and the crab cakes were THEE best I've ever had!!! All meat and no filler. Me and my daughter had the steamed crabs. They were cooked to perfection, full and very tasty! Definately going back! Would recommend 100%!!
The best thing about Sambo's is being located in one of the prettiest areas of Delaware. The views over the river and marshes are gorgeous. The food is very well prepared with simple steamed, salted crabs with butter and Delaware style crab cakes although all kinds of seafood is on the menu. This is not a Maryland Old Bay restaurant. The downside is the price, which is very high for a rural crab shack, $30 for a crab cake platter. They did have one steak on the menu for your non crab eating friend who you like anyway, but aren't quite sure about.
Hubby & I had a delicious meal at Sambo's in Leipsic, DE, today before they closed for the season. Can't wait for April 2018 till they reopen again.
